What is included in the complete package
- Body pickup and transport to the crematorium (from home, hospital, care home).
- Cremation-compliant casket (untreated wood, no metallic components, per DSP norms).
- Embalming and cosmetic preparation (if a viewing or vigil is planned).
- All paperwork: death certificate, cremation authorization, DSP clearance.
- Crematorium fee (Vitan-Bârzești or Cenușa).
- Standard urn (upgraded options available: wood, ceramic, biodegradable, keepsake urns).
- Ceremony coordination (church, chapel or home service before cremation).
- Urn handover to the family, or transfer to a columbarium, urn burial in cemetery, or shipment abroad.
Vitan-Bârzești vs. Cenușa — which to choose
Vitan-Bârzești (Șos. Vitan-Bârzești 6) is the older, state-run crematorium. Lower fee, longer waiting times (2–4 days), on-site chapel available. Cenușa (Berceni area) is a modern private facility. Higher fee, shorter waiting times (24–48 hours), modern chapel, easier scheduling flexibility. Osiris presents both options with pricing and availability at first call.
Religious and civil ceremony options
You are free to hold a full religious ceremony before cremation — Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Jewish or civil. The service can take place at the family's parish, at the crematorium chapel, or at home. For families abroad organizing from a distance, we live-stream the ceremony on request.
After cremation
Options for the ashes: retained by the family in the urn, buried in a family plot, placed in a cemetery columbarium (Vitan-Bârzești, Cenușa, Bellu), scattered (only with special authorization), or repatriated internationally. We coordinate whichever option you choose.
